Edlira Martiri is a professional with a robust background in Computer Science and Information Security, marked by dual experience in both academia and the industry. Holding various important positions, she has made substantial contributions to the field of information security in the EU, North America, and her native Albania. Ms. Martiri earned two distinguished Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tirana (2016) and NTNU, Norway (2022), with her dissertations focusing on data security.
As a research fellow at NTNU University in Norway, within the Department of IT and Communication, she developed innovative schemes for protecting sensitive data in biometric systems, adhering to industry standards. Her role involved conducting threat analyses, modeling attacker scenarios, designing strategies to counter threats, and managing risks. Since January 2014, Ms. Martiri has served as the National Contact Point for Albania in the European Association of Biometrics, actively engaging in the ISO office in Albania and various projects and conferences across the EU regarding information security.
In addition to her research and academic endeavors, Edlira is a co-founder of Cyber Morfosis, a company dedicated to becoming a trusted cybersecurity partner in Albania and beyond. Cyber Morfosis focuses on delivering practical security solutions that prioritize data safety, skills development, compliance, and risk management, underscoring her commitment to advancing digital security and creating a safer online environment. She is also an influential figure in Albania’s IT community, serving as a coach, jury member, and mentor, consistently advocating for secure systems, integrity, and ethical technology practices.
